Are you interested in working with individuals in the field of health & fitness?
People who are passionate about fitness, and enjoy helping others, are great candidates for the Personal Fitness Trainer Program. Personal Training is so much more than counting sets & reps--it is being a fitness and health ambassador to the clients with whom you are working. It is about knowing how to best “coach” your clients to successfully achieve their health and fitness goals.
Where Do Personal Fitness Trainers Work?
Graduates are trained to work in commercial health clubs, fitness centers, hotels, resorts, corporate fitness facilities, and private personal training studios.
Become a Well-Rounded Fitness Professional
MTTI Graduates are trained to perform client fitness & health assessments, program-design, equipment training, wellness coaching, and to develop organizational skills essential to the business of personal training. Students are trained to work with individuals of all fitness levels and abilities.
Small Classes and Hands-on Training
Classes of only 15-18 students enable instructors to support individual learning needs. MTTI students practice hands-on skills in a health club setting equipped with Cardiovascular Equipment, Strength Training Equipment, Free Weights, Cable Stations, Functional Training Equipment and TRX® Suspension Training station. Each student in the Personal Fitness Trainer Program is awarded Admission to Perform Better's 3-Day Functional Training Summit in Providence (a $300 value) upon acceptance of training-related employment. Students also have the option to use that value towards Perform Better Fitness Equipment.
What is the Future for Personal Fitness Trainer Positions?
Employment of fitness trainers and instructors is expected to grow by 24 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations. As businesses and insurance organizations continue to recognize the benefits of health and fitness programs for their employees, incentives to join gyms or other fitness facilities will increase the need for workers in these areas.1
