MTTI Education for Employment

Chris Holden

Electronic Communications Technician program

Chris Holden worked in jewelry manufacturing before coming to MTTI. She came to MTTI looking to change careers. She enrolled in the 2000 Electronic Communications Technician program. “It was great --it changed my life!” Chris calls the curriculum “outstanding,” and says she has “the highest respect” for the Instructor.

After graduation, she worked for New England Line Network for 10 years and was part owner for seven. Now, she’s a subcontractor, working on old and new construction projects.

“After 12 year of working for other people, working for myself is nice,” Holden said. “I’ve got no responsibilities to anyone but myself.”  I use 90 percent of the skills I learned in that course every single day."

Chris has also given back to the school by mentoring other students and by providing internships for them. As a regular particpant on the Employer Program Advisory Committe, Chris helps shape the curriculum  to keep the program current with employers' needs.

“I love MTTI, they’re like family. I owe them a lot.”
